Authorised Spokesperson – Terms and Conditions

1. Purpose
These Terms and Conditions set out the requirements, authority, and limitations for individuals authorised to act as official spokespersons on behalf of Dare Media Group Australia and its associated brands, (“the Group” or “the Company”).
2. Authorised Spokespersons
Only the following positions are authorised to speak publicly, issue statements, or represent Dare Media Group Australia in an official capacity:
Group General Manager
Director of Communications
Any individual holding a position with “Director” in their official title within Dare Media Group Australia
No other employee, contractor, presenter, host, or affiliate may act as a spokesperson without explicit prior written approval from the Director of Communications.
3. Scope of Authority
Authorised spokespersons may speak on behalf of Dare Media Group Australia and its brands in relation to:
Media enquiries and interviews
Public statements, press releases, and official responses
Legal, regulatory, or compliance matters (where appropriate)
Content, programming, and brand positioning
Corporate communications and reputational matters
All statements must align with the Group’s values, policies, legal obligations, and strategic objectives.
4. Limitations
Authorised spokespersons must not:
Make statements that are false, misleading, defamatory, or speculative
Comment on confidential, commercially sensitive, or legally privileged matters without approval
Provide personal opinions as official company positions
Engage in public disputes, harassment, or inflammatory commentary
Respond to legal threats or regulatory correspondence without consultation with legal counsel
Where uncertainty exists, spokespersons must defer comment or escalate the matter internally.
5. Media and Public Platforms
These Terms apply across all platforms, including but not limited to:
Broadcast media (radio, television, podcasts)
Print and online media
Social media platforms
Public events, panels, and conferences
Written correspondence presented as official communication
Personal social media accounts must not be used to issue statements on behalf of Dare Media Group Australia or its brands unless explicitly authorised.
6. Approval for Non-Authorised Individuals
Any person not listed in Section 2 who seeks to speak publicly on behalf of Dare Media Group Australia or its brands must obtain explicit prior written approval from the Director of Communications. Approval must be limited in scope, clearly defined, and documented.
7. Consistency and Review
Where practical, public statements should be reviewed internally prior to release to ensure consistency, accuracy, and legal compliance. In matters involving legal risk, regulatory exposure, or reputational sensitivity, approval from legal advisors is required.
8. Breach of Terms
Any breach of these Terms may result in:
Immediate withdrawal of spokesperson authority
Disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract
Legal action where applicable
Unauthorised individuals purporting to speak on behalf of Dare Media Group Australia or its brands may expose themselves and the Group to legal risk.
9. No Delegation Without Approval
Spokesperson authority cannot be delegated or assumed. Temporary or situational authorisation must be provided in writing and is limited strictly to the scope outlined.
10. Amendments
Dare Media Group Australia reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will take effect upon publication or written notification.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the relevant Australian courts.
